What to expect
The Little Makers sessions explore different themes throughout the year and including everything from painting and drawing to model-making and sewing, collage and clay to puppet-making and printing and more! Take a look at the gallery to see some of the fantastic artworks made by our Little Makers.
The Little makers programme adapts to encourage the different interests of the children attending and supports the national curriculum, further developing the concepts and ideas that children are learning at school.
The Little Makers space
Little Makers takes place in a home setting, in two bright and spacious rooms that open out onto a large garden. The rooms are fully equipped with lots of art materials, equipment and books and other creative resources.
A little note from Stef...
With a background in education I am passionate about art and making things and really enjoy exploring new ideas and art techniques with the children I work with. I believe all children should be encouraged to have lots of creative experiences outside of school to enrich their development and learning journeys. I also believe creativity is hugely beneficial to children's emotional wellbeing, self confidence and their understanding of their world around them.
Little Makers is a safe, welcoming space where creativity and friendships blossom. Engaging in creative activities has a positive impact on children's mental health, offering a therapeutic outlet for self-expression. The fun and playful nature of the club allows children to relax, de-stress, and feel more connected to themselves and others, as well as creating lots of lovely art and craft!
